Former Presidents Voted #1 T-Shirt
A line of political/horror t-shirt designs was voted the #1 T-Shirt On The Net for October. "The Zombie Presidents" T-shirts feature images of President Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln as rotting zombies come back to run for office in 2008. The vote was tallied at T-ShirtCountdown.com
North Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) November 6, 2006 -- They're back and they're running for office! The Zombie Presidents have tested the political waters and found they're welcoming. In month-long voting at one of the web's top t-shirt information websites, T-ShirtCountdown.com, The Zombie Presidents were voted "The Most Popular T-Shirt On The Net."
The t-shirts featuring images of the re-animated corpses of former Presidents seeking re-election in 2008. The current roster of undead ex-presidents includes Zombie Nixon, Zombie Lincoln, Zombie Reagan (with Zombie Chimp running mate), and Zombie JFK.
"Most of America has some disillusionment with the available choices for our leaders... the current administration or other options" said co-creator Brett Dewey "We felt what people really want is a chance to get back a President they knew they liked. And they voted us #1 so I guess they do!"
Offensive? The bringing back beloved leaders as rotting zombies runs the risk of offending. But so far they haven't received any complaints. "We're re-animating both Democrats and Republicans alike" said Mark Tavares, the artist behind the reanimated presidents. "We're equal opportunity offenders."
T-ShirtCountdown.com runs continuous voting for the most popular t-shirts on the internet. The Zombie Presidents were named the official winner of the October 2006 voting.

The Zombie Presidents were created by Los Angeles creative team Brett Dewey and Mark Tavares. Dewey, a former television writer, is currently the owner and president of pop-culture retailer WickedCoolStuff.com. For the past eighteen years, designer and illustrator Mark Tavares has created special make-up effects for such films as "From Dusk 'til Dawn", "Men in Black", "Spawn", and "Land of the Dead". The pair pooled their talents to create what could be one of the most talked-about ideas of the 2008 presidential campaign.
