Jim McNatt Dodge Helps Raise $300 for Guyer High School

Jim McNatt Auto Group Helps Local Schools Raise Money. Jim McNatt Dodge in Denton helped raise $300 for Guyer High School with its minivan Drive for the Kids program.

Denton, Texas (PRWEB) November 7, 2006 -- Jim McNatt Dodge in Denton, Texas helped raise $300 for Guyer High School with its minivan Drive for the Kids program. The fundraising event was held on Thursday, September 7, 2006 in conjunction with the school's homecoming carnival sponsored by the Guyer High School Student Council."

The Dodge Division of DaimlerChrysler donated $50 to the Guyer High School Band Department toward expenses involved in hosting the event and an additional $5 for each demonstration drive completed with an evaluation form. A Dodge Caravan, Dodge Charger, Dodge Durango and 1500 Dodge Ram truck were provided for parents and friends to test drive and evaluate. Jim McNatt supplied the vehicles, and volunteers from Jim McNatt and the Guyer Band Boosters were on hand to assist in the fundraising activity.

"Drive for the Kids is a mutually beneficial program. We're interested in helping the schools, and everyone has a good time," said Lance McNatt, General Manager of the Jim McNatt Auto Group. "Not only are parents genuinely interested in testing and enjoying the new Dodge vehicles, this provides us with the opportunity to provide additional dollars to schools in our area."

Dodge has a special interest in education and has committed substantial financial and human resources in support of educational grants and programs. Through its World of Work program, hundreds of Dodge employees volunteer time and skills to tutor and mentor students in plant communities. In addition to Drive for the Kids school fundraisers, the corporation has spent millions of dollars in support of educational initiatives including award-winning reading and child safety programs.

Jim McNatt also has a special interest in education. Last year, he created McNatt Community Support '06, a fundraising program which raised almost $200,000 for our local schools and sports organizations. For this program, Mr. Jim McNatt donated a '06 Honda Accord VP and paid the tax, title and license. This year the goal is to raise $400,000 and donate two brand new vehicles.
