BPM Group Sees Marked Increase in Chapter Demand, First Canadian Chapter Meeting Announced for Toronto

The BPM Group, a global business club with over 20,000 members, is pleased to announce the inaugural meeting of the Toronto Canada Chapter of the BPM Group to be held in Toronto on November 29th, 2006.

Boston, MA: Warwick, UK (PRWEB) November 7, 2006 –- The Business Process Management Group is pleased to announce the inaugural meeting of the Toronto chapter on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 from 8:30 to 11:00 AM. Business Process Management (BPM) is one of the hottest topics on the minds of executives today and is constantly being mentioned by major research groups such as Gartner®, Meta Group®, and Forester Research® just to mention a few. Many executives as well as business and IT professionals are unclear about this area and where it fits, or should fit, in their organization.

The purpose of the Toronto chapter (the first in Canada, with more coming) is to provide a forum for sharing experiences and to promote successful BPM practice. The chapter encourages involvement from BPM practitioners, vendors, and consultants as well as anyone interested in BPM. Topics for this and future meetings include:

Business Benefits of BPM
How to start the BPM process
Aligning IT with the business through BPM
Selling BPM to Management
Successfully implementing BPM
Lessons to be learned from successes and failures
BPM best practices
Establishing BPM centres of Excellence

This Inaugural Toronto Chapter meeting is being sponsored by webMethods (located at 20 Bay Street, Suite 1205, Toronto, Ontario M5J 2N8), an internationally recognized provider of technology and services supporting both BPM (Business Process Management) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).

The BPM Group Chapter program gives members of each group the opportunity to learn from each others successes (and failures), and actively support one another in ongoing activities. Chapter meetings often have one or more guest speakers, can form special interest groups (SIGs) to assist members in pursuing their particular interests and create locally relevant focus groups. There is no charge to attend the meeting. Participants will also receive complimentary membership in the BPMG. Interested parties may sign-up to attend the event by contacting Jim Baird at 416-252-8405.
