Northern Kentucky Business Group Gives Donation to Kicks for Kids

The Members of Northern Kentucky Business Referral Group, (NKBRG), recently presented Doug Pelfrey, Founder of Kicks for Kids, with a check for $1,000.00 at the group's weekly luncheon meeting at The Cold Spring Roadhouse. Pelfrey, a motivational speaker and former Cincinnati Bengals kicker, addressed the group of thirty business professionals, answered questions about his football career and discussed his work with area at risk youth.

Newport, KY (PRWEB) November 8, 2006 -- The Members of Northern Kentucky Business Referral Group, (NKBRG), recently presented Doug Pelfrey, Founder of Kicks for Kids, with a check for $1,000.00 at the group's weekly luncheon meeting at The Cold Spring Roadhouse. Pelfrey, a motivational speaker and former Cincinnati Bengals kicker, addressed the group of thirty business professionals, answered questions about his football career and discussed his work with area at risk youth.

Presenting Pelfrey with the check, Garth Stanley, NKBRG president, said, "Doug, we are delighted to support Kicks for Kids' excellent work with area youth. Please keep up your good work."

The Northern Kentucky Business referral Group is Campbell County's newest business networking and referral group. NKBRG's mission is to support member businesses and the local community. There are approximately two dozen individuals and businesses that are members of NKBRG. The group meets weekly for networking and business luncheons. Kicks for Kids is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides area children at risk with opportunities to pursue their dreams. Made available to children who are mentally or physically challenged, or challenged by the environment in which they live, these opportunities are provided through Kicks for Kids' interactive programs, by fulfilling the special requests of individual youths, and through a collaborative effort with other local kids' organizations. Areas that are served by KFK are Northern Kentucky, Southeastern Indiana and Greater Cincinnati. There are no disease or illness restrictions, race, sex or religion specifications, or other such limitations. KFK generally assists children from lower to middle income families.
