Journey Teams Up with De La Montanya Winery to Produce a Sonoma Coast Red Blend

All proceeds to benefit the Greater Bay Area Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Healdsburg, CA (PRWEB) November 8, 2006 -- Legendary rock band, Journey, and De La Montanya Winery have come together to produce a limited edition wine whose proceeds will benefit the Greater Bay Area Make-a-Wish Foundation.

The special vintage, "Generations", is a 2005 Sonoma Coast Red Blend featuring autographs from all five current band members. With only 300 bottles produced, "Generations" boasts a rare blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Meunier from the Sonoma Coast appellation in Northern California.

"Creating a quality wine was a priority for us," said Journey band member, Jonathan Cain. "By teaming up with a local family winery like De La Montanya, we were able to create a truly premium wine all while supporting a cause that has been important to us over the years."

Aged for one year in French and American oak barrels, "Generations" is an approachable wine with a strong structure and soft tannins that tastes like an aggressive Pinot Noir with hints of blackberry and an abundance of fresh red fruit on the entry.

"We looked at the celebrity wines out there and wanted to do something a little different," said winery co-founder Dennis De La Montanya. "By donating to the Make-a-Wish foundation, we were able to have fun with a new label, while benefiting a great cause."

"Generations" retails for $95 per bottle and can be purchased at the De La Montanya Winery tasting room, by calling (707) 433-3711 or online at www.dlmwine.com.
