West Simsbury, CT (PRWEB) November 8, 2006
http://www.webaward.org - The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the Best Advertising Web Site Winner as part of the 10th annual international WebAward Competition, the Internet's premier website award competition.
"Advertising sites tend to score well in content and design, but lag in interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use," said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. "Because these sites tend to be showcases for a firm's work, they score significantly above the average in innovation. Flash seems to be the dominate technology in advertising sites in order to enhance the user experience with movement and sound. Unfortunately, this sometimes has a negative effect on the site's ease of use and navigation."
Advertising websites represent a highly competitive industry within the WebAward competition. Each website is judged on the same seven criteria including:
- Copy writing
- Ease of use
The overarching goal of the WebAward Competition is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing the most effective advertising websites on the Net today.
This year's best web sites along with past WebAward winners in the advertising industry are:
2006 Spot Runner – http://www.spotrunner.com
2005 Young & Rubicam Brands for Meet the Lucky Ones
