"Chasing the Moon" by Sally Domet is Cincinnati Playwrights' November New Voices Stage Reading

Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative is pleased to announce the staged- reading of "Chasing the Moon" by local playwright Sally Domet. The play is part of CPI's New Voices 2006-2007 Season. The reading is Tuesday, November 14th, at 7:30 p.m., in the Fifth Third Bank Theater, Aronoff Center for the Arts, Seventh and Main streets. Tickets are $6 and may be purchased at the door on the night of the performance.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) November 8, 2006 -- Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative is pleased to announce the staged-reading of "Chasing the Moon" by local playwright Sally Domet. "Chasing the Moon" is about a Viet Nam POW-MIA who returns home to his wife, who bore his child during his tour of duty. The return home is traumatic and complications arise.

The Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative is a grassroots organization of playwrights, directors and actors devoted to bringing plays written by local playwrights to the Cincinnati stage in the form of staged readings. Staged readings are an important step in the development of new plays. The audience is encouraged to join in the collaborative process of bringing a new play to life. Preliminary to full productions staged readings allow playwrights, actors, directors to receive feedback from the audience about the play-in-progress. Plays originally presented in the New Voices Series have been produced in New York and Los Angeles and by the Ensemble Theater of Cincinnati.

CPI is accepting new plays for consideration for the remainder of the 2006-2007 Season. Area playwrights are encouraged to submit a full-length play or several one-acts, along with $15 check payable to CPI. The fee includes a year's membership in CPI and membership privileges.
