PowWows.com Holiday Charity Fund Raiser - Fund Raiser for Spirit Lake Inc. to Help Purchase Dialysis Machines for Native Americans

Spirit Lake Inc assists the Spirit Lake Reservation by purchasing dialysis machines for Native Americans.

(PRWEB) November 13, 2006 -- Each year during the holidays the members of PowWows.com help raise money for a charity.

Kenny Merrick Jr.started Spirit Lake Inc to purchase dialysis machines for the Spirit Lake Reservation. Due to the remote nature of the area, diabetics are typically forced to drive about 200 miles round trip in order to obtain the use of dialysis machines. Rather than make the trip, too many patients simply give up and succumb to the disease.

Kenny started Spirit Lake Inc. in 2003 in loving memory of his father Kenny Merrick Senior. This 501c3 organization works to raise awareness and money for the effort.

Kenny Merrick Jr's label, Red Bear Productions, produces recording and performances. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of their cd's go towards the purchase of dialysis machines.

Over the next 2 months, PowWows.com will be helping to raise money for this project.
