Technology startup Values of n launched its first product, a Web-based organizer dubbed Stikkit, at the Web 2.0 Conference Launch Pad today in San Francisco. They invited the public to join its open beta by signing up for free accounts on the Stikkit web site at http://www.stikkit.com.

Stikkit works like a smart notepad: as you type, Stikkit watches for simple contextual hints that point out appointments, to-dos, people, bookmarks and more, and then extracts and organizes the important details as you type. You can then categorize (using tags), share, and discuss stikkits, or export them to other productivity tools you may already be using. Stikkit can also remind you about upcoming events via email or a text message sent to your mobile phone.
