Benefit Alpaca Fashion Show Brings Hottest Designs to Denver

(PRWEB) November 9, 2006 -- ALPACA ELEGANCE 2006, an extraordinary, elegant fashion show experience to benefit children's education in Cajamarca, Peru, will be held Friday evening, November 17, at 6 p.m. in the Turnhalle Auditorium of the Tivoli Building on CU's Auraria campus. This is one you cannot miss.
The show will feature the best of this season's designs in luxurious alpaca and fine, lustrous pima cotton--as well as stunning silver jewelry from Peru. There will also be delicious Peruvian food, drink and music; a silent auction; and a drawing for two round-trip tickets to Peru.
Those attending "Alpaca Elegance 2006" will see not only the latest in fashion and design, especially that made of alpaca fiber, but also fiber artists demonstrating their crafts, as well as ethnic displays - and the lovable alpacas themselves.
In addition, those attending this premier fashion show will be helping the children in an area of Peru that is rich in tradition, history, art and culture, but not rich financially. This benefit is called "Cajamarca Children's Challenge: Help Them Learn!", and is sponsored by the Consul General of Peru in Denver, Asociacion Los Andes de Cajamarca, and The Alpaca Store ... & More! of Nederland, Colorado.
Your Peruvian journey will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, November 17 with delicious Peruvian food, including traditional Pisco sours. The cost is $50 per person, all of which goes to the benefit.
Directions: The Turnhalle Auditorium is in the Tivoli Building at Auraria Parkway and 9th street in downtown Denver. Parking is on the west side of the building. Seating is limited, so reservations are required.
