KUA Annual Report Hailed as Nation's Best
Kissimmee Utility Authority's 2005 annual report has received the top award in a national annual report contest conducted by the American Public Power Association.
Kissimmee, Fla. (PRWEB) November 8, 2006 – Kissimmee Utility Authority's 2005 annual report on Tuesday received the top award in a national annual report contest conducted by the American Public Power Association (APPA).
The awards were judged based on the effectiveness of the written text, design, financial data, creativity, graphics, organization and communication of the utility's story.
KUA's annual report, titled "A Lifetime of Power," earned the Award of Excellence among electric utilities with gross annual revenues of $75-$199 million.
The 48-page annual report pays tribute to the utility's Roy E. Hansel diesel power plant which was decommissioned in September 2005 after 104 years of continuous service. The report is available online at http://www.kua.com/corporate.
The award was presented Tuesday to KUA by APPA president and CEO Alan Richardson and board chairman John Twitty at the association's annual Customer Connections Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
