Printed Culture Introduces its Flagship Online Store, The Quilts of Gee's Bend -- Personalized Products Reflecting Unique Arts and Culture

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 9, 2006 -- Printed Culture has launched its first online store featuring customized, high quality printed products for gifts or personal use. Customers can create their own unique products with images from "The Quilts of Gee's Bend."

The quilts are recognized as uniquely American expressions of African traditional patterns and have been applauded by New York Times art critic Michael Kimmelman as "some of the most miraculous works of modern art America has produced."

The resulting product is printed on high quality paper and shipped to the customer. Prices for calendars begin at $8.50, and items can can even be personalized with names and important dates. Shoppers can also learn more about the quilters and their history through books, a DVD documentary and audio CDs, which have been produced by Tinwood Media and Alabama Public Television.

A portion of the retail sales is contributed back to the Gee's Bend Foundation and the Gee's Bend Quilter's Collective.
