Betfair Asian Poker Tour moves online

A series of online tournaments will run parallel to the Betfair Asian Poker Tour's live event in Singapore.

(PRWEB) November 10, 2006 -- A series of online tournaments will run parallel to the Betfair Asian Poker Tour's live event in Singapore.

Betfair Poker is giving players who haven't made it to Singapore, the opportunity to take part in a unique online version of the tournament.

Betfair Poker will add $100,000 in Asian themed prizes.

Prizes include a five night all expenses paid holiday at the luxurious Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the world's only seven star hotel, and trips to Hong Kong and Bali.

Players will also win Sony and Samsung electrical goods, a year's supply of Asian beer and BAPT merchandise.

"We want all of our players to feel part of the Betfair Asian Poker Tour whether they are in Singapore or not," said Head of Poker Ben Fried.

The online series of events begins with a $5 + $0.50 tournament on Monday 13th November, and will culminate with a $100 + $9 Main Event on Saturday 18th November.

Daily satellites to the Main Event have already started on Betfair Poker at 20:00 (GMT) and 21:30 (GMT), with buy-ins of $5 + $0.50 and $10 + $1 respectively.
