500,000 Teachers Sought to Provide Learning Materials
InfoSource Learning Creating a Teacher-To-Teacher Marketplace
Winter Park, Florida (PRWEB) November 14, 2006 -- InfoSource Learning, today announced the creation of a new division that will be a Teacher-To-Teacher Marketplace, where teachers can create, buy, and sell learning materials on any level, from pre-K through adult professional development, and in any geographic region or language.
Michael Werner, co-founder and CEO of the company, will head up the project to find 500,000 teachers from throughout the world who want to share their learning materials with other teachers and trainers. InfoSource will provide 75-85% royalties to all of the teachers who contribute their materials to the Marketplace and there is no obligation or commitment from the contributor.
"I'm as pumped up about this as I've ever been about anything we've ever done in our more than 23 years at InfoSource," Werner says. "This is really an opportunity to give back to the teaching community who we've become so involved with over the last few years." Whether it's a PowerPoint presentation, a Word or Excel file, a group of digital photographs, a lesson plan, or anything else that can be captured in a computerized digital format, it will likely find a home in the Marketplace.
Kacy McClean, Director of Marketing at InfoSource, commented that "This is such a perfect fit for us, and a natural way for us to help teachers, because we already have hundreds of school districts throughout the United States, and dozens more worldwide, using our learning management systems and online courses. In fact, there are nearly 200,000 teachers already in our systems, so any contributions to the Marketplace will automatically find the attention of a significant audience."
In addition, all teachers or trainers who contribute to the Marketplace will have access to the newly revamped InfoSource online course development tool known as CATpro. Ernie Spadaro, head of Development at InfoSource, is particularly thrilled about that and said "CATpro is designed for the non-technical teacher or trainer who wants to craft learning materials for any audience. So, the Marketplace is really such a good tool for teachers who want to create new, or share existing, materials online, and perhaps earn a little supplemental income along the way."
Any teacher or trainer who wants to learn more about submitting materials to the InfoSource Teacher-To-Teacher Marketplace should contact Werner directly at mwerner@infosourcelearning.com.
