Optimist International's new president, Ronnie Dunn, will be interviewed by 7th Wave Network host Ron Graves on "Achieving the Extraordinary" Wednesday, November 15, 2006. Marking her first appearance on the show, President Dunn talks about how to create a brighter future for our kids. Ronnie Dunn is the president of Optimist International, a dedicated group of volunteers aimed at "Bringing Out the Best in Kids." Elected at the Optimist International Convention by Optimist volunteers from around the globe, the board is charged with leading the organization into the future. She is the first ever woman president of Optimist International, the world's fourth largest service organization. One of her goals for the organization during her tenure is diversity and the Optimist organization currently is in the middle of collecting pledges for $1 million for childhood cancer research in conjunction with Johns Hopkins University to find a cure for childhood cancer.
