New Web Site Finds a Novel Way to Send a Holiday Greeting Message and Give to Charity Using The Surprise of a Nostalgic Old Toy
A new site on the World Wide Web enables individuals to send a message for any occasion using a well known old toy in a surprising new way. The Surprise-O-Gram website, found at http://surprise-o-gram.com on the World Wide Web, provides a verity of musical jack in the boxes with pop up message banners for all occasions and a personal message telegram card. Featured for the holidays is an elf-gnome pop up character with banner choices of Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, or Happy Hanukkah.
Dallas, Tx. (PRWEB) November 13, 2006 -- The site, described as "whimsical" by Christian Thornton, creator and owner of Surprise-O-Gram, provides a novel way to send someone a message that includes the element of anticipation and surprise when they receive the package. Cost for the service, sent anywhere in the United States by 2-3 day USPS priority mail is$39.95. Senders can select from a list of charities at check out and one dollar will be donated.
Christian, of Christian Thornton Studio, said he created the site after remembering the joy he would see on peoples faces when they were delivered a Balloon-O-Gram bouquet from his previous telegram business, Balloon-O-Gram of Dallas. "Because of the Internet, I realized the potential of being able to serve a vast section of the United States population as opposed to only local deliveries," Thornton said.
Morning talk show host, Kelly Rippa of "Live with Regis and Kelly" will go down in trivia history as the first person to receive a Surprise-O-Gram. It was sent to her in honor of her entry into the Guinness Book of Records and her birthday.
Thornton explained that from the comfort of their homes, shoppers can, for example, wish someone Happy Birthday and send them a personal telegram message, purchased through a secure online credit card processor.
Only a few weeks old, Surprise-O-Gram offers, for all occasions, the choice of different pop up characters such as Jester Clown, Teddy Bear, Elf-Gnome, Cheeky Monkey, and Spider Man. A video of the Merry Christmas Elf-Gnome is available at http://surprise-o-gram.com/video.htm
