Florida Based Company Makes a Splash in the Auto Industry

AskPatty.com, Inc. certifies 18 Florida-based dealerships as Female Friendly

Sarasota, Florida (PRWEB) November 13, 2006 - Florida-based AskPatty.com, Inc. has recently launched a new and informative web site (http://www.askpatty.com), designed to provide women with automotive advice. The site has grown in popularity and is the #1 automotive advice site for women on the internet.

The Ask Patty certified dealership program was launched only 2 months ago and has already certified 36 dealers as Female Friendly, including Penske Toyota, and 18 of those are in Florida. The Crown Automotive Group in St. Petersburg has recognized the value of the female consumer and is the first large organization to embrace the Ask Patty program.

"We are excited about the opportunity to work with Ask Patty to be sure we are providing the best sales and service experience possible for our female customers," stated Jim Myers, COO of Crown Automotive Group.

According to Bob Germain of Germain Honda, "The Customer experience has always been our top priority at the Germain dealerships and the training provided by Ask Patty will only improve how we serve our customers".

Ask Patty and the Female Friendly certification program has been featured in the New York Times, Motor Trend, CBS Radio, Oprah and Friends XM Radio Network as well as the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Macomb Daily newspaper. The response from the media and the public has been overwhelmingly positive toward the site and the information provided by it.

"I really enjoyed going to Ask Patty because I was provided with advice that I could trust," stated Beverly McMullen, woman consumer and Ask Patty user. "The answers were provided by an independent panel and not a dealer or car manufacturer, so I knew I wasn't getting a biased answer."

Ask Patty is changing the way that woman consumers are treated at the dealership level and they already have 18 Florida dealers that have signed up for the Ask Patty program, which includes diversity training and advertising advice. Some of the largest dealers have embraced the program, including Germain Honda, Crown Autmotive Group, Kendall Toyota, Palm Beach Motor Cars, Don Reid Ford, and Universal Hyundai-Nissan.

"After reading the study by Carmax that said over 50% of car purchases are made by women and 80% of all buying decisions are made by women, we felt there was a need in the marketplace for Ask Patty," stated Jody DeVere, President of Ask Patty. "Ask Patty is a place where woman can get advice and dealers can improve in the way that they market to the female consumer."

"Women represent 50% of all car buyers and 73% of customers to the dealerships service department yet dealers spend little or no advertising dollars attracting the female buyer," according to Peter Martin, CEO of Ask Patty. "I have been handling advertising for car dealers my entire career and they are now just recognizing the power of the female buyer. Ask Patty provides them with the tools to communicate and improve the buying experience, which creates a win-win situation for both parties."
