Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 13, 2006 -- CrabbieMasters creator, Becky Undlin, and her husband, are the aunt and uncle of two young adults currently volunteering in Salacuim, Guatemala through the Peace Corps. Among the many responsibilities and opportunities they have to aid this community, Kari and Corby also hope to raise money through a new scholarship program so that those who want to do so simply can afford to go to school.

"The quantity of your support is not important, but the need is endless. While tuition is minimal at the elementary and junior high levels ($5-$10 a year) most cannot afford the basic school supplies, books and uniforms that allow them to attend classes. About $100 can provide one year's worth of books and supplies…In the case of high school students, each needs to travel to a regional center and select a specialty to continue. An average yearly cost of $2,000 covers tuition, supplies, room, and board for a year."

The timing is right. The new Salacuim school year begins in January, 2007.

CrabbieMasters does not want anyone to send any support they are motivated to provide through us. CrabbieMasters are not inclined to get in the middle of stuff that's already great on its own. We just know that if we help people helping people and let others know of opportunities for them to help people…well, what chance do The Crabbies have when everyone's being nice?!

Send any contributions directly to the scholarship program organized by former Peace Corps volunteers Friends of Guatemala (FOG) as identified on Kari & Corby's web page: http://www.lachua.org/corbyandkari/scholarships.html.
