This upgrade benefits developers of embedded devices who require the freedom to choose from a broad spectrum of operating systems, file systems, and flash parts for their device designs. FlashFX Pro ensures the integrity of data stored on resident flash, both [NAND and NOR], and makes it simple for software applications to access the flash chip just as they would a hard disk drive. FlashFX Pro currently supports over 200 state-of-the-art flash parts - including NAND, NOR, [hybrid flash, and NAND controllers]. With version 3.10, Datalight has added support for Spansion® MirrorBit® ORNAND™ solutions.

FlashFX Pro development kits are available for use with several real-time operating systems (RTOS), including the Mentor Graphics Nucleus® PLUS RTOS, and interfaces with any FAT file system or Datalight Reliance, the pioneering transactional file system. In enhancing the support for the Nucleus PLUS RTOS, FlashFX Pro can now be integrated with the latest file system architecture from Mentor Graphics, the Nucleus FILE file management software.
