Snap Lock Industries Commissioned by Synergy Events to Create the World's Largest Logo Visible from Outer Space

SnapLock® Industries creates the new 87,000 square foot record-breaking KFC logo in the Nevada desert using plastic interlocking flooring.

Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) November 16, 2006 -- Salt Lake City based Snap Lock Industries, the leading manufacturer of modular flooring worldwide, was commissioned to create the record breaking 87,000 square foot KFC logo. "Once we were charged with this project and it was determined that Utah was going to be the preferred site, we found it imperative to partner with a local company. SnapLock® proved to be more than a partner and every day went above and beyond our expectations," said Jay Silva of Synergy Events.

The massive Colonel Sanders logo consists of SnapLock® 1-foot square plastic floor tiles that were laid out in the Area 51 desert near Rachel Nevada the 'UFO Capitol of the World'.The massive logo, which is referred to as the 'Face from Space' by the project team, is so large it that would take 265 Statues of Liberty to fill it. The logo took 24 days, working around-the-clock, to manufacture and ultimately produce. It then took six days on site to construct the logo, during which time the logo design pieces were kept hidden and under cover from identified and unidentified flying objects. " This was very exciting for us. We have done a lot of special projects in the past, but never one this size and certainly not one that would be visible from outer space. The team at SnapLock did a great job, I think the logo looks great," said Jorgen Moller, CEO of Snap Lock Industries.

The image was created by pixelating five different SnapLock tile colors over 87,000 square feet. There were no paints or decals used in creating the image. The process required each tile having a specific location or the entire image could be compromised. " This project really shows the versatility of the Snap Lock product and the level of expertise the SnapLock team has. There were no tools used during the assembly. Installation was literally a Snap!" said Moller.The multi-patent SnapLock plastic floor modules simply snap together and lock into place, no tools are required installation.
