The portable tracking units rely upon SureTrakTM location technology from GeoTrax to pinpoint the location of the device (and its associated asset). This suite of location capabilities, which includes enhanced GPS sensitivity, cell tower estimation, and an RF beacon to provide location information in the absence of GPS satellite coverage, locates the device even inside a building or other hidden location.
Automatic reports via the Internet display the last known position of the GeoSentry monitoring and tracking units. Additionally, related information including continuous location monitoring, operational status and detailed mobile history of the devices are provided. Secure SSL technology ensures that only authorized personnel have access to this location and alert information. Optional quick-connect external battery packs help extend the field life of the devices for days or weeks, enabling longer term location reporting and monitoring.
