US-Asia Business Forum has selected Tim Mewton to produce the official documentary for the 2007 India Trade Delegation and Culture Tour. "Tim's work has been instrumental in creating positive change in the growing relationship between the U.S. and India," says Kevin Kaul, founder and president of US-Asia Business Forum (USABF), "We are delighted that Tim has accepted our offer to produce the official documentary for this historic event."

Tim was chosen for the project from over 500 potential candidates, including top directors from the United States, United Kingdom, India and Australia. The selection process focused on exceptional creativity and understanding of the subject matter, as demonstrated through a track record of significant achievement.

After announcing his involvement at the weekend, Tim spoke about his plans for the project; "This important film will provide an insight into the cultural, social, economic and political aspects of India. By recording the findings and experiences of the Trade Delegation, we are helping others to learn about India from both a business and cultural perspective."

Tim's television experience covers a wide range of exceptional projects. Earlier this year, Tim directed and produced a documentary on the economic growth of India and the benefits of a strong US-India partnership. The program was screened at a gathering of top business and political figures including the Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa, who commented on the high quality of the presentation. Additionally, Tim has directed many successful TV shows covering movies, music and entertainment that have aired to millions of people across India and South Asia.

Tim Mewton's groundbreaking work has also caught the attention of Government officials. Recently he was awarded by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the California Secretary of State, the California Assembly, the California Senate and the United States Congress, who joined in honoring Tim for his outstanding achievements in the international entertainment industry.

The completed documentary will premiere at a major film festival in 2007. It will then be screened for the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, and distributed to governments, schools, colleges, universities, museums and libraries around the world.

The Trade Delegation will comprise USABF officials and U.S. investors visiting India from January 8-19, 2007. The purpose of the visit will be to give US investors a chance to experience India and find out more about Indian businesses. USABF and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will guide delegates to not just explore investment opportunities, but also meet Indian businessmen and corporate leaders at seminars and exclusive one-on-one meetings.

The event has the support of many prominent leaders and political figures. U.S. President George Bush stated: "I appreciate the USABF members and all those committed to promoting economic relations and prosperity between our two nations. Your hard work and dedication expand business activity and help more people succeed in the 21st century economy." California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said: "This important event demonstrates how commerce strengthens ties between the United States and India."
