The New England Food Festival, which had humble beginnings as a local fundraising event, has rapidly blossomed into a star-studded event with guest attendance at over 6000 in 2005. Extensive media coverage in 2005 has showcased the event as a favorite of New Englanders and also those who travel to Plymouth to enjoy the many other Thanksgiving festivities that take place annually, the week before Thanksgiving.
For guests, The New England Food Festival means scrumptious chowders soups and desserts, along with food from some of the best restaurants in New England. It also means meeting and enjoying some of New England's most renowned entertainment and culinary personalities who vie for awards for their delectable food creations. This year Randy Price of 7NEWS and his Co-Anchor, Frances Rivera will be judges for identifying the best chowder. Cabby Shack will be on board to tempt guests and to defend their Chowder Championship that has been three years running.
The AHT Food Festival Committee hopes to capitalize on the explosive growth and success of the 2005 event. They are actively seeking to attract a corporate partner to become the title sponsor, as the tradition, great food, and top level hosts cause the event to grow to national prominence among festivals.
