IMX America, has successfully signed a contract with Korea's 'Drama Kingdom' MBC to distribute Korean drama series to the North American region via internet VOD services starting on November 20th. 'Dae Jang Geum', 'Hotelier', 'Love Truly', 'Did we really love?', 'Super Rookie', 'Palace', and 'Dr. Gang'.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 18, 2006 -- IMX America, Inc. ("IMX America"), the U.S. subsidiary of Interactive Media Mix, Inc. ("IMX," Tokyo, Japan) which has been distributing Korean and Asian entertainment media content and products internationally, has successfully signed a contract with Korea's 'Drama Kingdom' MBC to distribute Korean drama series to the North American region via internet VOD services starting on November 20th.

The Korean Wave (Hallyu) featuring Korean entertainment and cultural content that has been spreading throughout Asia is finally knocking on America's households' doors via the internet line through the servicing of the titles.

The titles included in this agreement which are 'Dae Jang Geum', 'Hotelier', 'Love Truly', 'Did we really love?', 'Super Rookie', 'Palace', and 'Dr. Gang' have gathered popularity and are well known not only in Korea and throughout Asia, but in the U.S. market as well.

'Dae Jang Geum' and 'Hotelier' especially are titles that have created various phenomena throughout Asia. 'Dae Jang Geum' led Lee Young Ae and the rest of the cast to Korean Wave stardom. When aired in 2003, the series set viewing rate records of 57.8% in Korea and gave birth to the 'Jang Geum Syndrome' while maintaining an average viewing rate surpassing 48% until its final episode. The popularity of 'Dae Jang Geum' continued in Japan, China, and Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, the viewing rate reached 87% while holding the highest average viewing rate of 47%.

'Hotelier' features Bae Yong Joon, also known as 'Yon-sama,' along with Kim Seung Woo, Song Hye Gyo, and Song Yoon Ah. The series is about the life, love, and competition of hoteliers who work behind the scenes of a fancy hotel. Bae Yong Joon's objective and rational charisma is especially worth watching.

These seven titles will be serviced through the Asian content and media portal Broasia.com (www.broasia.com) run by IMX America and Google Video (http://video.google.com) simultaneously. The reputation and potential of the top search engine and portal site Google, which has also recently acquired YouTube and strengthened its online video division, is expected to play a key role in the distribution of Korean content in North America.

Broasia.com (www.broasia.com_ is a portal site launched and run by IMX America specializing in the distribution of Asian entertainment media and content in the North American region. Broasia.com (www.broasia.com) which has provided Asian content related products started servicing Taiwanese drama series this past August and will continue to expand the library through acquisitions of North American distribution rights of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, and other Asian content.

Currently, of the titles licensed through Taiwan's Sanlih E-Television ("SET TV"), 'Lavender', 'Snow Angel', 'Green Forest, My Home', and 'Magicians of Love' are successfully being serviced and will be followed by 'At the Dolphin Bay', 'Heaven's Wedding Gown', as well as 'Prince Who Turns Into a Frog'.

Interactive Media Mix, Inc. ("IMX") was established in 2001 and has since been introducing and distributing Asia content in Japan and has played a key role in the rapid distribution of Korean content throughout Asia. The two-way communication portal site 'Brokore (www.brokore.com)' run by IMX was a pioneer in providing Korean Wave drama series via the internet. IMX also serves as a Japanese agency and provides management for artists such as Hallyu Stars Bae Yong Joon, So Ji Sub, and Son Ye Jin, along with Kim Tei (Korean announcer of NHK), and Taiwanese actor Mike He amongst others.
