Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) November 20, 2006 -- For the 4th year in a row, Travel Town Train Museum will host a unique holiday event starting November 25, 2006. On nineteen evenings between Thanksgiving and Christmas, children will be able to take a miniature train ride to visit Santa at his house at the North Pole. Once they arrive they will visit with Santa, get a picture with him if desired, then get back on the train to return home along a decorated and music filled track.

This event is operated by the Griffith Park Train Rides in cooperation with the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks. It is a wonderful alternative to visits to the mall according to reports from parents who have taken their children on the train in years past. Traveling outdoors on cool winter evenings gives families a more traditional Christmas experience than they can find in other settings.

Starting at 5 p.m. on the evenings detailed below, families may enter the Museum and board the miniature train ride at the gaily decorated station. While waiting to board they will be entertained by a dazzling dancing light show. Once aboard, they will travel past the reindeer barn and Santa's Workshop to arrive at the North Pole. There they will disembark and visit with Santa. Digital photographs will be available for an extra charge. Families may take their own pictures if they wish. After they have finished their visit, guests will re-board the train and travel along the decorated ¼ mile of track back to the station.
