Christmas is Here Again, but Santa's Naughty or Nice List is Here to Save the Day

Keeping costs and expectations down through the use of Santa Claus naughty or Nice list for real. Santa's list now exists for real on the web for you to personalise for your loved ones. They want an Xbox but not tidying their room? With Santa's help they will.

Milton Keynes, Bucks (PRWEB) November 20, 2006 -- It's that time of year again, you know the one, the gift giving season we all look forward too, or more frequently dread. Yes, Christmas is upon us once again.

In a society where the demands and requests of the children on Santa seem to grow exponentially the closer to the big day you get, what can you do about it?

No parent wants to disappoint their child at this special time of year, but what if you don't have the money? Or you have been laid off or you just think that the whole thing has got too commercial and that greed is taking over what should be a family affair based on the true magic of Christmas.

Not, in the case of children, the religious side (most aren't interested in that) but the concept of Elves, Reindeer, Santa and the concept of good and bad, reward and punishment and most of all, the season of Goodwill to all, and the idea that magical things really can happen.

Some parents will struggle terribly to get their child everything on the list, including getting seriously into debt, others will feel worthless and a bad parent if they can't manage it, and some, may even tell their child that there is NO SANTA in order to alleviate the pressure, but in so doing, destroy one of the greatest dreams of childhood before it's time.

Well, there is hope out there, Children do believe in Santa and more importantly, in the concept of his Naughty or Nice list. Good children get presents, bad children don't, they accept this, and the fact that it is dependant on their behaviour and other factors only known to Santa Claus.

So the answer is before us, give the children access to Santa's Naughty or Nice list, allow Santa to tell them their expectations are too high based on cost or their behaviour. Unfortunately, the few occurrences of Santa's list available are on the web, and are based on general data and not personalised, meaning the children are unable to believe that it applies to them.

That was until now, one company has created what they believe to be the first, real time Online Database of information containing Santa Claus's Naughty or Nice list.

The idea appears to be simple and straightforward and works as follows;

Santa or one of his helpers (could be the parent) logs onto
http://www.Tell-Santa.com where they input or update information on the relevant child on the database (Santa's NAUGHTY or NICE List). This consists of a little personal information and maybe a photo, if they wish. However, the more important sections appear to be;

1.The recording of what the child wants for Christmas and their chance of getting it.

2. All instances of Naughty behavior during the year.

3. All instances of Nice behavior during the year.

4. Suggestions from Santa as to what they should be doing to improve themselves.

5. The ability to interact with the child, as Santa, in order to answer such mind numbing questions as to why the sky is blue or why they can't have an Xbox360 for Christmas.

6. Their current position on the list, ranging from Monster to Superstar (parent chooses)

This facility runs for a full 12 months so that the child is constantly monitored and advised during the course of the year, this could be a real bonus for the parent.

Once the first stage is complete, Santa Claus ( or the parent) requests an email Or a letter from LAPLAND to the child advising them that they now have access to Santa's list and can look up their information and list position on it via a personal logon id and password. The child then makes their way to site specified http://www.SantasXmasList.net (a totally different site from the parent) and is able to look at the data held on them believing it to be from Santa himself, with no knowledge of the parental involvement at all.

The opinion is, that if administered correctly, this site can produce the following benefits;

1. The ability to keep the magic of Christmas alive for a child for longer.

2. A level of behavioral control of the child by the parent by reducing the chance of getting specific presents based on naughty and nice behavior.

3. The ability for the parent to influence the child's activities through the use of Santa's Suggestions. (tidying room , homework, exam passes etc)

4. The possibility for the parent to reduce present expectations if they want too much OR if mum or dad loses their job and can't afford an expensive Christmas.

5. Less well off families (and there are many) can do the same as above, based on their individual financial ability to provide for their family.

6. The ability to constantly update present requests and keep up to date with the child's wants whilst being able to improvise if something is sold out to reduce tantrums etc.

About Santa's Naughty or Nice List:
This particular use of Santa to influence child behavior and help the parents during what can be a very stressful time of year has not, to this writers knowledge been done before. However, anything that keeps the magic alive for a child in their early years, whilst teaching them right from wrong, can only be of benefit to the parent, the child and therefore society as a whole. Is this finally, a worthwhile application of Santa and the magic of Christmas? We think it is.
