Nashville, TN and Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 22, 2006 -- Jason Frost of A Frosty J Productions (ASCAP) announces the newest in a series of multi-genre oriented music compilations coming soon titled 'Rocks on Country' Volume 1. The series is timed for released sometime over the next year or two. Not only will it be featuring some of the best new talent in Country and Southern Rock music, but it will also include tracks from legendary KISS guitarist Ace Frehley's brother Charley Frehley and Jerry Baldassaro of The Bridge Band. The 'Rocks on Country' album cover will be adorned by the very beautiful and lovely Sirius Satellite Playboy Radio Host and film starlet Alana Evans, in Country girl attire, posing with her infamous pink convertible (the same car that had caused a bit of controversy between the film starlet and Kelly Clarkson of American Idol not long ago in other news).
Jason Frost of A Frosty J Productions (ASCAP) commented, "It is my hopes that this album does for Country music what Grunge music did for Rock and Roll. The album will have traditional Country and Southern Rock, but will also introduce many new contemporary twists on what we have come to expect from a typical Country sound. Some tracks will even delve into the areas of Hip-Hop, Rap, Jazz, Nu-Metal, Hardcore and Punk Country music!"
When asked what he meant by reviving Country music in the way Grunge revived Rock and Roll he said confidently that, "Grunge music for too long has taken a bad wrap, being falsely accused of destroying mainstream Rock and Roll music, when in fact it actually revived it. Rock and Roll was stagnating. The labels and their artists were last to notice. Many in the business still won't acknowledge it, including many former major Rock talents who have been forced down to independent labels. But the listeners buying records sure sent a clear message and the industry changed to accommodate them. Kids were trading in their guitars for turntables. Mainstream listening audiences and even radio stations were fast changing their musical preferences and formats from loud guitars to Hip-Hop, Rap music and R&B. If not for Grunge it is quite possible Rock and Roll may have faded entirely from the charts and airwaves. And it's not that I don't like Rap or R&B, because I truly do. We have compilations we are working on and catering to those genres as well. It's just that it's time for Country music to evolve and catch up to what younger audiences have come to expect from new music. We are going to exceed those expectations and leave a blueprint for future generations of Country music songwriters to follow."
Portions of the albums proceeds will be divided among three charities including a Charity for Displaced Farmers, Michael J. Fox Foundation and Rock for Christmas Foundation.
Other Charity compilations CDs that A Frosty J Productions (ASCAP) are currently working on include an Electronica/Trance/DJ Club Mix, Rap/Hip-Hop, Rock/Metal, and a Comedy Compilation CD, in addition to many others in various sub-genres.
In particular, their Comedy Compilation CD for Charity will have live stand up bits from comedic newcomers and expected to include guest cameos from notable comedians such as Adam Sandler and Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live. The cover model and title for this album will be announced shortly. As it is another charitable effort, it will have portions divided among three charities; Planned Parenthood will be one, as suggested by Fred Armisen of SNL, The Lupus Foundation and Rock for Christmas Foundation. In the meantime, please support the Rock for Christmas Foundation by purchasing their Live Studio Album Music Compilation CD 'Rock for Christmas' Volume 1 at their website Rock4xmas.com.
