Jupiter Promotes Charles F. Kelley to Vice President of Operations
Seasoned industry vet led company's successful ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Kelley's leadership of the ISO9001:2000 certification enabled Jupiter Systems to meet all of the rigorous requirements of the quality management standard for implementing and improving a quality system. These exacting requirements include the design and formalization of the quality management process, the development of a quality systems management manual and control documents, implementation and monitoring of the system, maintenance of records to prove requirements have been met, and ongoing performance improvement.
Designed in response to the impact of globalization and the need to satisfy the quality demands of a new international marketplace, the rigorous requirements and cost have made ISO certification a difficult goal to achieve. Nevertheless, Jupiter Systems, under Kelley's leadership, completed the intensive certification process in just six months.
Kelley's ongoing responsibilities include: production control and planning, material control, purchasing, resource planning, quality control, customer service, new product prototyping and introduction, production, final assembly, testing, shipping and receiving, manufacturing engineering and facilities management.
Kelley joined Jupiter Systems in June 1998 as Director of Operations and was responsible for restructuring the company's operations and manufacturing. Prior to joining Jupiter he was Operations Manager of Numark Industries in Rhode Island, and before that VP and General Manager for Quad Eight Electronics in California. Kelley has spent his career in electronic manufacturing, rising from supervisory to senior management positions. Kelley is married with three children and splits residency between San Leandro, California, and Jamestown, Rhode Island.
