Urgent Care Centers, Inc. Has Signed an Agreement to Purchase a Family Medicine Practice in Virginia That Will Become Their 1st Urgent Care Center

Urgent Care Centers, Inc., a newcomer to the market has signed an Agreement to purchase an established Family Medicine Practice in Virginia. UCC, Inc. in conjunction with its partner, The Cirrus Group, will turn this practice into a full service ImMEDiate CARE Clinic with additional diagnostic imaging, occupational medicine and physical therapy capabilities offered in-house.

Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) November 24, 2006 -- Urgent Care Centers, Inc. is pleased to announce that an Agreement has been signed to purchase a well established Family Medicine Practice in southern Virginia.

Urgent Care Center's partner, The Cirrus Group will handle the real estate aspects of the deal and UCC, Inc. will take over the operations effective January 2, 2007.

The addition of this practice to our overall business plan is two-fold

It gives us a practice that has been established for a number of years to expand upon in a historically underserved healthcare market, and it gives us an operating practice that can be turned out as an Urgent Care Center in a short period of time. The 2 closest Emergency Rooms are 25- 30 miles away

The plans will be to expand with Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician's Assistants and turn the practice into a Walk-in Clinic with additional services not currently offered locally. The new hours will be from 7 am until 7 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am until 1 pm on Saturday. Primary Physician Care will continue to be available.
