Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 22, 2006
Pop singer Jake Coco -- who's music video for his debut single "Graceland" is currently one of the most watched videos on You Tube, with over a million views -- was chosen as the sole performer for the Make A Wish Foundation's 7th Annual Wish Night Gala. The star-studded event, which took place on November 17, 2006, honored the charitable efforts of celebrities and companies who supported the organization's mission to brighten the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions by fulfilling their one most heartfelt wish.
The celebrities honored at this year's gala were: the top-selling female artist in history, Mariah Carey, acclaimed producer, director and actress Penny Marshall, and Emmy Award®-winning actor Eric McCormack. While Jake Coco has had many wonderful opportunities in his career, he was extremely thrilled to perform at such a meaningful event. He was so touched by the organization, that he pledged to donate a studio session for a child whose wish is to become a singer/songwriter.
Jake Coco's single "Graceland," from his independently released, album "Broken Hearts & Fairytales," is currently working its way up the charts on radio stations across the nation. Additionally, the "Broken Hearts & Fairytales" album is one of the bestselling albums on digital outlets such as: TowerRecords.com, and CdBaby.com. The CD is also available at Virgin Mega Stores and is currently one of the CD's playing at their in-store listening towers. Additionally, Jake recently sang the theme song "A Step of Faith," on a recent episode of the TV show, "General Hospital."
In an unprecedented move, rarely accomplished by a major label, and virtually unheard of by and independent label, Alliance Group Entertainment has aligned itself with branded companies such as; Palm® -- the Industry leader in PDA and Smartphone technology, and Ed Hardy, the popular celebrity-driven clothing line to help launch Jake Coco onto the next level of his career. Palm® technologies has given support to Jake Coco, by integrating his music and music video onto their products including the Treo 700 and the Palm TX handheld device. Ed Hardy vintage tattoo-wear by Christian Audigier has created one-of-a-kind Jake Coco t-shirts, and given promotional support in store and online
