Casey Margenau, Re/Max Distinctive Real Estate, Inc., has added real estate text messaging service Mobile Price Check as an additional marketing tool for 100 of his listings. Mobile Price Check allows prospective home buyers to dial an 800 number in front of the listed home and opt-in to instantly receive text messages of property information and pictures of the home to their cell phones and PDA's. Real estate agents in turn receive the cell phone number of inquirers who have opted-in to participate.

Sellers are also very mpressed.

Casey Margenau of Re/Max Distinctive Real Estate Inc., and top Re/Max agent worldwide 5 consecutive years, has added interactive real estate text messaging service Mobile Price Check as an additional marketing tool for 100 of his listings.

"Being a leader in your market means always staying on the cutting edge of technology; but you must use technology that works to improve your business," Casey Margenau said. "This is one such break through. Mobile Price Check allows buyers to get information on your properties immediately and you get their contact information fast. The first agent to help a buyer is usually the one who gets their business, so timing is important. Congratulations on a first rate solution that works!"

Casey Margenau's awards and achievements include #1 Re/Max Individual Agent, U.S. and internationally for 5 consecutive years, Re/Max Hall of Fame Member, Northern Virginia Association of Realtors Top 10 of Top Producers, Top 200 Agents Nationally for Unique Homes, and Top 1% of agents nationally.

When the prospective home buyer calls the 800 number in front of the home for sale, they are prompted to enter a code on the sign which is unique to that home. Next they are asked to opt-in to receive property information including pictures, and follow up "alert" text messages from the agent; such as, price reductions and open house information. The agent in turn immediately receives the inquirer's cell number by text message and online. "We're very careful to ask consumers to opt-in for information so there are no problems with Do Not Call lists," said Jim Lofton, creator of Mobile Price Check. "Consumers can also opt-out of all future contact by the agent at any time by clicking a link in the text messages."

The real estate agent can send multiple text messages by going online, typing the message in a text box, and sending the message to all who have inquired on a particular property instantly. "An agent can go online at 11am and in seconds send a text message alert announcing a 1pm open house to multiple buyers who have inquired about that home," Lofton said. "It's also a great way to announce changes like price reductions."

"We're finding that most of the prospective home buyers who call on our agent's signs don't have a real estate agent yet, so it's a great way for an agent to meet a home buyer who needs representation," Lofton said. "Sellers are also very mpressed."

Mobile Price Check is free for home buyers. Real estate agents can either pay $19.95 a month per listing, or a flat fee of $99 per listing for the life of the listing. Both plans include all voice and text message fees, and there are no set-up fees.

There are more mobile phone subscribers (1.4 billion), than there are landline phone subscribers. 350 billion text messages are exchanged monthly worldwide. 89% of major brands plan to market via mobile phones by 2008 and 40% have already deployed text messaging campaigns.
