Riven Records and Sleeping Shelby to make a donation from the sale of their debut CD "Pepper Rd." to the Toys for Tots Foundation. For every iTunes download and sale for our webite starting today November 24th 2006 till December 20th 2006, we will make a $1.00 donation to help bring Christmas to the little ones that are not as fortunate.

Barrington, IL (PRWEB) November 26, 2006 -- Riven Records and Sleeping Shelby would like to announce that starting today November 24th 2006 and continuing till December 20th 2006, for every CD purchased or downloaded at iTunes, Emusic, Napster, the Riven Records website and the Official Sleeping Shelby website we will donate $1.00 to the Toys for Tots foundation.

"We believe that no child should be without a gift this Christmas and we want to do all we can to help in this situation across the country."

Jim Johnson, owner of Riven Records puts it like this, "I see the malls and big box stores opening at hours that defy 'normal' shopping, and think of all the kids we have throughout our country that will not have a Christmas as we see it. The thought of going shopping at these hours just takes away the meaning of Christmas and Thanksgiving for that matter and brings to light the materialistic attitudes shared by everyone. This is why I want to do my part and show what Christmas is really about."

He also goes on to say, "I challenge everyone who purchases an iPod or MP3 player this Christmas to go a step further and download Sleeping Shelby's debut CD so that we may put forth a happier Christmas season to the little ones that are less fortunate."

The donations will not stop there either, "We will also be making donations from the downloads and sales of our CD from iTunes, Emusic, Napster, the Riven Records website and the Official Sleeping Shelby website, to Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital, The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital and St. Judes Children's Hospital starting January 1st 2007 and continuing until we can make a difference in the lives of children here in our hometown and across the country, I ask that you please help us make this difference" replied Mr. Johnson.

Sleeping Shelby is a local Chicago rock band that has gained national attention by opening for Bon Jovi Nov. 4th 2005 on the sold out 'Have a Nice Day ' tour, and is in the Top 5 of the National Leaders List in the MTV2 On the Rise website. Their video to the single "Lie the World" will be featured on Comcast's Local Programming.
