The contest opens today and a winner will be announced on January 2, 2007. The radio show, Blogging and Beyond debuts January 11, Thursdays at 11 a.m. ET and runs through April 5.

(PRWEB) November 27, 2006 -- Professionals and entrepreneurs who want to learn to leverage the marketing power of the Internet, may be chosen as The Blog Squad's "Ideal Client" and eligible for free mentoring on a 13 week radio show, Blogging and Beyond. The radio show debuts January 11, Thursdays at 11 a.m. ET and runs through April 5.

Blogging experts Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D. and Denise Wakeman will showcase their winning client and walk him or her through the steps to set up a blog, a newsletter, a shopping cart, and other Internet tools during the 13 week show.

"This is a fun contest, and the winner will get free marketing help for their business," Wakeman said. "By the end of the 13 week radio show, our Ideal Client and our listeners can have a strong Internet marketing system in place that works to attract more clients."

It doesn't matter what kind of business, but applicants for the Ideal Client must meet the following criteria:

1. Be an experienced professional with a book, or ebook, or services to sell.
2. Have some computer skills beyond email, and be comfortable using software.
3. Be intelligent, personable, hungry to learn, and passionate about their business.
4. A good sense of humor helps; overly chatty or shy people are discouraged; willing to take feedback and learn from experts.
5. Have discipline to be on the show each week, and complete tasks between shows.

The winner will be selected from online applications which include a 300-500 word essay on why the person would be the Perfect Client for the radio show. The top five runners up will be given free tuition to attend a 13 week mentoring program that follows the radio show.

In addition to guiding listeners to create their own business blogs, the show will focus on essential Internet marketing tools: a newsletter, a shopping cart, autoresponders, press releases, article marketing, and informational products. Experts in Internet Marketing will be featured most weeks.

"Blogging is no longer a new trend," says Wakeman. "It is a fabulous opportunity for all businesses to take their message to the public, in a way that connects authentically with clients and customers."

But blogging isn't enough. The Blog Squad created the program Blogging and Beyond to show business professionals other essential marketing tools that work together for effortlessly attracting clients.

Their motto is "Attract, Sell, and Profit," and they dedicate the show to explaining in simple terms how professionals can have a strong Internet marketing presence with little tech skills, no staff, and a small budget.
