CruisingTheICW.com, the destination guide for intracoastal waterway leisure cruisers, has brought Chef Mark Lee on board the website to pen a feature called Seaside Chef.

"Mark Lee learned how to cook from his mother and from a Louisiana soul food chef, and now uses that knowledge to feed diners at See Wee, one of Charleston, SC's most popular restaurants," says Dick Trammell, publisher of the CruisingTheICW.com website. "Most of the cruisers I know give their galleys a work-out and will benefit from Mark's expertise. I'm excited that he has agreed to share recipes and galley tips with visitors to CruisingTheICW.com."

Lee, who was once a licensed deck hand, has an affinity for the ocean and says that is why he gravitated to seafood. He moved to South Carolina from Louisiana when jobs began to dry up. Lee helped open the popular Sullivan's restaurant, on Sullivan's Island, near Charleston. Ten and a half years and a cookbook later, he was lured away to Sea Wee restaurant, on US 17 north of Charleston, where he remains today.

CruisingTheICW.com is a guide for intracoastal waterway cruisers that provides information about destinations, marinas, accommodations, dining and boating services along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. According to Trammell, this site complements, rather than competes with existing guide and chart books about the Intracoastal Waterways from Key West to Canada.

A recreational boater himself who found ICW travel planning resources lacking, Trammell decided to use his background in destination marketing to connect ICW destinations, marinas, and suppliers, and the boater just as the ICW connects coastal destinations. http://www.CruisingTheICW.com provides a cost-effective way to keep destinations and cruising-related businesses in front of cruisers no matter where or when they are planning their trip activities.
