METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce the addition of the IND780 to the existing line of weighing terminals. This high-performance terminal is capable of simultaneously supporting four scales and can provide a metrologically approved sum scale.

The flexibility of the IND780 terminal enables it to be used as a single or multiple range weighing terminal for use with analog load cells, high precision scale bases or Powercell technology. The unit comes standard with Ethernet, two serial ports and a USB master for an external keyboard. Fieldbus connectivity options offer compatibility to popular networking protocols including Allen-Bradley RIO, PROFIBUS, ControlNetTM, EtherNet/IPTM and DeviceNetTM with added enhancements including a new template transmission. The IND780 directly controls your processes with discrete I/O; add options to control up to 40 inputs and 56 outputs offering a standalone terminal solution.

The IND780 maximizes productivity using its multi-processor design, calibration management and logging capabilities for current and preventative maintenance. Use the large graphical display in either a monochrome or color version, in conjunction with the application specific software modules, and programmable platform to optimize and alleviate downtime and user confusion. The SmartTracTM feature improves the speed and accuracy of manual or semi-automatic operations -- this feature offers three display modes to graphically show weight status to target. The configurable graphic softkeys allow for single keypress operation.

"The IND780 is the industry's answer to a call for a terminal which is intuitive to use, easy to maintenance, programmable, and able to provide user security. This terminal is the outcome of years of engineering and customer experience including the current technological trends." Adrienne Olwert, Market Manager.

The stainless steel enclosure of the IND780 is approved for both Safe Area and Division 2 or Zone 2/22 Hazardous Area environments with a single terminal design. Applications with strict cleaning requirements will benefit from 304 stainless steel construction, sanitary finishes and other EHEDG approved features. The two enclosure types withstand a wide range of environments and installation locations: IP69K Harsh or Type 4/12 Panel Mount.

METTLER TOLEDO is recognized as the global leader in weighing solutions for industrial, retail and laboratory applications. The company plans to continue its focus on developing customer-oriented weighing solutions that harness the power and flexibility of the leading technologies.
