LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling Launches Public Linux Toolkit
LightScribe today announced the immediate release of publicly-available Linux development tools for its Direct Disc Labeling technology.

The LightScribe Linux public software development kit (SDK) allows individual application developers to integrate LightScribe support into Linux-based software. Linux users will now be able to experience the benefits of LightScribe, a no-hassle way to burn professional, silkscreen-quality labels on CDs and DVDs right in the drive. LightScribe functionality has been validated on SuSE 9.1, 9.2, 9.3 and 10.0 and should run on any x86-based Linux distribution using Linux kernel 2.6 and RPM.
