This elegant and sophisticated sterling silver bowl is stylishly and attractively acid-etched all around the circumference with decorative elements in the Celtic style. The base and the gently undulating upper rim have been simply and discretely enhanced by neat rows of incised lines, while the body of the bowl alternates between wide and narrow panels, each topped with a large and distinctive acid-etched motif with a pronounced Celtic influence. The result is extremely pleasing to the eye and has resulted in a bowl which is both pretty and practical. It was made by the well-known and highly-respected Tiffany Co. and is clearly stamped on the base with a pattern number and the words Tiffany & Co. Makers, Sterling Silver, 925/1000 and the "m" mark which Tiffany used between the years 1907 and 1947. Its capacity, 4 pints, has also been helpfully stamped on the base. This eminently useful and extremely attractive bowl measures 9" in diameter and stands 3 1/2" tall. It weighs 20 troy ounces.
