IA450 Congratulates CONATEL in Honduras for Embracing the 450 MHz Band
CONATEL allocates the 452.500-457.475 MHz and 462.500-467.475 MHz for fixed digital services.
(PRWEB) November 30, 2006 -- The Comision Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL) issued the Resolution NR005/06 with the allocation of the 452.500-457.475 MHz and 462.500-467.475 MHz for fixed digital services. The Band was allocated with the purpose to accomplish to provide services of social interest in the rural areas or in areas without services.
Comision Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL) is a state body that by regulatory means disperses and executes the policy of Telecommunications in the Republic of Honduras. CONATEL was created on October 31 of 1995. It originally functioned as a part of the Ministry of Communications, Public works and Transportation (SECOPT).
