Seattle Rock Veterans Celebrate the Life and Music of George Harrison Five Years After His Passing

Featuring members of the Beatniks and Herding Cats; Special guest performance by Alan White, legendary drummer for Yes and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass; All ticket proceeds will be donated to Northwest Harvest to help feed Washington's hungry

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) December 13, 2006 -- Seattle's legendary Crocodile Café will host the George Harrison Jam at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday December 19th, 2006, five years after his passing. All ticket proceeds will go to Northwest Harvest to help feed Washington's hungry. Those attending are encouraged to bring canned food items for Northwest Harvest to distribute to needy families.

There will be a special guest performance by Alan White, legendary drummer for mega-band Yes and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass album. A specially assembled band of Seattle rock veterans, fronted by Rick Lovrovich of the Beatniks, will faithfully perform George Harrison's classic Beatles and solo music. Other members include: Jon Bolton (Beatniks, Herding Cats), Mike Mattingly (Herding Cats), Johnny Jones and Doug Kilishek. For more information go to http://www.myspace.com/georgeharrisonjam .

The same band headlined the John Lennon Jam on the 25th anniversary of his death (December 8th 2005) at the Crocodile Café -- also supporting Northwest Harvest. "Probably the best time playing music I've ever had!" said front man and bass player Rick Lovrovich. It was a full house, and due to popular demand, two encore performances were scheduled on September 1st, 2006, at Seattle Public Theater (sold out). For songs and videos from these shows, go to http://www.myspace.com/johnlennonjam .
