This holiday season, parents are looking for a gift that teaches preschool children more than just letters, numbers, colors, and sounds. Now they have a new option: Cheeruppet World, the world's first life skills and character building software for preschool children, is available for purchase online.

"Playtime provides one of the most effective times for children's minds to image and create their world," says Marie Ravenscroft, the developer of Cheeruppet World. "Children join characters like Zooly, the Zoolywigamooster with no tail, and Izzy, a very organized Izzinar, for adventure, fun and learning. Cheeruppet World engages children's imagination and invites them to become the heroes of their own lives."

Cheeruppet World "Book One" explores four essential life skills for children: Learn to Listen, Pay Attention, Learn to Share and Feel Your Feelings. Additional life skills that are taught within the program include: patience, self confidence, acceptance of diversity, persistence and organization. Cheeruppet World is PC and Macintosh compatible. The CD sells for $19.95. A bonus Cheeruppet World DVD will be added to all orders placed before December 25.

Cheeruppet World also includes over 50 off-screen activities created by national parenting expert, Sheila Ellison and over 600 popular fairy tales and fables. Sheila recommends Cheeruppet World software because it "allows children to discover and build life skills in a fun and entertaining way."

About Sheila Ellison: Sheila Ellison is a nationally recognized expert on successful parenting. Her activities and advice have been helping over a million parents creatively feed, play with and raise their children. She has appeared on Oprah, the Later Today Show, and CBS Early Show.
