Severe acne scarring formulator Noixia found that when it comes to making acne scar removal a more enjoyable experience, the customer does know best.

San Diego based image makeover firm Noixia recently discovered that their recently re-formulated version of their body acne scar treatment, Body Back-2-1, will save their customers time and money.

Noixia first introduced Body Back-2-1 in February of 2006 for people with acne scars on the chest and back. Clients applied the first version of Body Back-2-1 using cotton squares. The toner version of Body Back-2-1 also required two, five to ten minute applications per day for optimal results.

While customers liked the results of Body Back-2-1, follow-up questionnaires found that user's would prefer a way to apply the formula with their hands as opposed to a cotton ball because this was too time consuming. Plus, the twice per day application seemed excessive to some customers.

With this information and after months of testing, Noixia reformulated Body Back-2-1 into a body wash scrub. This re-formulated version of Body Back-2-1 offers several improvements over the initial version of the product.

According to Noixia President Nicole Dial there are several steps involved in successfully re-formulating a product. Dial says, "First, we talked with a group of 20 people about where and how they used Body Back-2-1." Typical questions included: How long did the entire application process take? If they could change anything about the product to improve it, what would it be?

The common denominator among customer response was a desire to use the product once per day. And so, Noixia re-designed Body Back-2-1 with this goal in mind.

Dial noted, "As the re-formulation was under way Noixia had learned from experiments that combining the scar lightening agents of Body Back-2-1 with a manual as opposed to just a chemical exfoliating agent enhanced the products effectiveness by as much as 40%."

Improving the delivery of key ingredients stands as one of Noixia's chief product development goals for their skin care products. This commitment to optimally formulating a skin care products makes the products less irritant to the skin and more effective.

By combining a natural exfoliating agent like ground walnut with a skin softening ingredient like lactic acid, Noixia's Body Back-2-1 better penetrates the skin to heal acne scars. Noixia products are different from other scar treatments because they remove all the signs of acne scarring like the dead, rough scar tissue, and skin discolorations that are typically left by deep and relatively large acne lesions that occur on the body. This means customers get the results they want in even less time.

So far Noixia customers like Michael Mack, a furniture sales representative from San Diego, commented, "I like it (Body Back-2-1) because it even works on the stretch marks I have on my lower belly and I can just jump in the shower and rub it in real quick instead of having to use a cotton ball. This new way is better."

Dial observes, "We live in the software age and the great thing about software is that almost every year, you get a new and improved version. I feel the same way about our skin care line. Everyday our goal is to produce better products that make the lives of our customers easier while saving them time and money."
