CEO of Cramer Inducted into National Television Academy Silver Circle
Tom Martin honored for his more than twenty-five years of service to
the television industry.
NORWOOD, MA (PRWEB) December 5, 2006 -- Cramer, a Norwood, Massachusetts-based leader in the development and delivery of integrated marketing solutions, today announced that The Board of Governors of the Boston/New England Chapter of The National Television Academy inducted Cramer CEO and President, Thomas Martin, into its Silver Circle.
The Silver Circle recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to television over twenty-five years or more. Individuals are inducted into the Silver Circle based on their service to television, the community and to people training for careers in television or related fields.
A short video retrospective of Tom Martin honored his lifetime achievements, specifically his role in founding and creating Cramer as a 200-person strong integrated marketing agency that maintains a strong competency in video and event production. In addition to solid job creation in the field of video production, Tom makes it a priority for Cramer to serve non-profit and charitable organizations. In a single year alone, Cramer contributed time and talent to over 20 organizations such as Big Brother/Big Sister, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Easter Seals, Greater Boston Food Bank, and The Jimmy Fund. In addition, Tom is Chairman of the Board of Norwood Hospital and a member of the board of governors for the Caritas Christi Healthcare System and the Francis Ouimet Foundation. He is also a trustee of the both the Massachusetts Hospital School and Xaverian High School.
The video retrospective also acknowledged Tom's local fame as 'Red' Martin, legendary Boston College Eagle, an All-American hockey star who competed in the 1962 World Ice Hockey Championship and was assistant captain of the 1964 U.S. Olympic hockey team. Tom has parlayed his love of sports into sports-related video programs that Cramer has produced including Emmy winners, Boston Red Sox:100 Years of Baseball History, Boston Garden Banner Years and The Story of Golf which was broadcast on both CBS and PBS.
There are sixty-nine members of the Silver Circle and they represent a variety in the industry spectrum. This year's inductees include Richard Amaral, Steven Cascione, Joyce Kulhawik, and Larry Rifkin. Past Silver Circle honorees include: Frank Avruch (WCVB), Rex Trailer (WBZ), Jack Hynes (WB 56), Don Gillis (WCVB), Charles Austin (WBZ), Jim Coppersmith (WCVB) and Paul La Camera (WCVB).
