Taking strategic HR leadership training to the next level, STARoundtable (Strategic Talent Acquisition Roundtable) recently launched its 2007 roster of regional educational workshops.

The one-day Recruiting & Staffing Leadership Academies focus on how to lead and manage a corporate recruiting function, not on how to recruit. Workshops are taught by leading experts with decades of experience in strategic consulting and leading recruiting and staffing functions at major companies. The Academies are open to HR practitioners, and membership in STARoundtable is not required. There are two Academy tracks offered: the Corporate Recruiting & Staffing Leadership Academy for corporate and organizational recruiting and staffing leaders, and the Hospitality Recruiting & Staffing Leadership Academy. The Hospitality Academy is a highly specialized workshop for hospitality (hotels, restaurants, theme parks, cruise lines, gaming, and others)recruiting and staffing leaders to hone and optimize their recruiting and staffing leadership skills with specific content to the service and hospitality industry.

“Managing internal and external constituencies, maneuvering through corporate politics, developing strategies, and planning processes can be challenging in the fast-paced, ever-changing corporate world,” says Diana Meisenhelter, STARoundtable Hospitality Academy Leader. “At our Academies, participants discover real-world solutions -- not just concepts never practiced.”

Focused on small group interaction, each academy utilizes the “STARoundtable Handset” that allows participants to immediately respond to questions asked by facilitators and presenters.

“This technology not only allows for gathering unbiased information,” explains Jeremy Eskenazi, STARoundtable Southern California Facilitator, “but it also ensures the information presented in each Academy addresses the unique needs of participants in each regional session.”

The Corporate and Hospitality Academies are underwritten by platinum underwriter, Velocity Resource Group, which specializes in providing low cost, highly effective Internet-based candidate sourcing services.
