"We are the first yoga teacher training program in Texas to have this designation," explains Mehtab Benton, founder of Yoga Yoga Teacher Training and director of its programs. "By approving our program, the state of Texas is recognizing the yoga teaching profession as a valid and viable career choice."

The North American Studio Alliance (NAMASTA), which is an organization for mind-body professionals, estimates that currently there are 70,000 yoga teachers in North America. In 2006, 160 students were graduated from Yoga Yoga Teacher Training. There are currently 248 students enrolled in Yoga Yoga Teacher Training's programs. YYTT's largest demographic is women over 40 who are retired or looking for a career change. The number of men and students below age 35 in the YYTT program is increasing.
