San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 6, 2006
In celebration of its new "Share a Spot" feature, SpotDJ today announced a contest to find the best user-generated story or tidbit about a song or band. SpotDJ, which lets listeners hear from their friends and favorite bands while they listen to music, is opening up the contest to all users, who can easily record a "spot" by clicking a button in SpotDJ and talking about whatever song or band they want.
User-contributed spots are rated by other users. The top 5 spots with the most 5-star ratings will become $50 finalists. The spot judged to be the best by former editor of Rolling Stone Ben Fong-Torres will win the $500 prize. Users are encouraged to promote their spot by sharing it with their friends and family through SpotDJ's new "Share a Spot" feature.
To record a spot and participate in the contest, consumers simply visit http://www.spotdj.com to sign-up and install the SpotDJ player. To view the leader board and full contest rules visit http://www.spotdj.com/contest/show/hotspot. The contest runs through December 22, 2006.
