InfoValue is one of our preferred providers for video-on-demand
Elmsford, NY and Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 5, 2006
InfoValue Computing, Inc. (InfoValue), an expert in providing innovative, high-performance video-streaming platforms and solutions, today announced its partnership with ExtreamTV (ETV), a premier entertainment systems integrator, to offer video-on-demand (VOD) and Internet over the television to the hotel and time-share market. A combined InfoValue SuiteTV™ and ETV solution has already been deployed at the Hotel Royal Plaza in Orlando, Fla.
“InfoValue is one of our preferred providers for video-on-demand,” said Alex Watts, chief operating officer of ExtreamTV. “The company’s SuiteTV solution is flexible and reliable, allowing us to provide our clients with best-in-class in-room video entertainment, including movies and concerts on demand, as well as Internet over the television.”
ETV uses InfoValue SuiteTV Version 3.0 primarily for its IP-based entertainment services, which allow ETV to provide such products as Internet on the television, movies, concerts, and classic TV on demand. Classic TV on demand, a special option for guests, includes reruns of old series such as “I Love Lucy” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” ETV contracts with telecommunications providers to provide T-1 lines for broadband access. The high-speed Internet-access solution is available as wired, wireless, or on the TV via a wireless keyboard.
“The partnership with ExtreamTV is a compelling case study of how a systems integrator can fully utilize SuiteTV’s full features to enhance the hotel guest’s in-room experience,” said Aubrey Flanagan, vice president of business development and solutions at InfoValue. “We are pleased that ExtreamTV considers us a preferred provider in this arena and look forward to expanding our partnership with the company.”
The SuiteTV solution is a comprehensive platform for in-room entertainment delivered over IP networks. All of the streaming-video content is routed through SuiteTV’s high-performance VOD server, a space-efficient, easy-to-manage system stored on the hotel or time-share’s premises. Based on a modular, open architecture, it enables video-on-demand and multicasting, IPTV, networked personal video recording (nPVR), and time-shifted TV.
