So, just what is a glider kit?
A glider kit is basically a new truck without an engine, transmission or rear axles. The Freighhliner Glider kit does give the option of ordering a remanufactured engine in a Detroit, Caterpillar or Cummins configuration. A glider kit comes with a title even though the purchaser may be using some of your old components. Freightliner of Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo will assemble the glider kit unit or Freightliner of Grand Rapids can drop ship it to the buyers location. The glider kits come with a self help CD and instruction manual which will walk the buyer through the process of assembling the glider kit if the buyer choses to do it themselves.
