New York, NY (PRWEB) December 6, 2006
FIRM (OSE: FIRM), the world's leading provider of software for Enterprise Feedback Management (EFM) and Market Research (MR), today announced that the Sloan Center for Internet Retailing at University of California, Riverside, has licensed the Confirmit MR suite. The Sloan Center for Internet Retailing, a non-profit academic research center that conducts online research and maintains a global panel of Internet users, licensed the Confirmit on Demand software solution guaranteeing a respondent up-time minimum of 99.7%.
Based at the University of California, Riverside, the Sloan Center for Internet Retailing is the world's leading university research center dedicated to improving the effectiveness of online retailing. Professor of Marketing and Co-Director of the Sloan Center, Thomas P. Novak explained that they had previously used an in-house solution but it did not offer the flexibility and scalability that they needed to grow their panel and surveying activities. The Sloan Center will leverage Confirmit's advanced panel management and robust and user friendly surveying capabilities to support their existing 3,000 panelists and has plans to grow the panel by 15,000 - 20,000 panelists each year and double the amount of studies they conduct.
"Establishing a seamless and fully customized community portal interface with Confirmit was something very important and nearly impossible with our previous in-house solution," said Novak. "And previously, only two dedicated programmers were computer savvy enough to program and deploy our studies to our panel. Confirmit has provided us with the flexibility to streamline everything on a single platform and its user-friendly interface enables many more people to easily program and run our studies in less than half the time."
Thinking ahead has always been important to the Sloan Center for Internet Retailing. Having made a cross-country move earlier this year to give them access and the ability to grow their practice and their staff in larger facilities, it was a natural step to plan for the technology that could support their research. "In the non-profit research world costs are an ongoing concern and staffing is expensive. Selecting Confirmit has enabled us to grow rapidly with fewer staff and lower total cost in comparison to our previous solution. And the On-Demand offering enables us to concentrate on our research and studies and know that Confirmit will maintain and continue to develop the surveying and community portal environments," concluded Novak.
"As a leader in Internet retailing research, the Sloan Center was very particular with their needs and requirements. Their selection of Confirmit illustrates our ability to provide cutting-edge technology to leading a research center while offering a lower cost of ownership," said Kjell Øksendal, FIRM's Vice President of Marketing. "As they continue to grow their operations and improve internet retailing effectiveness worldwide, the Sloan Center will benefit from the world's most innovative Market Research on-demand software."
Confirmit's world-class survey, community panel and reporting platform can be licensed as an ASP software on-demand service or as an on-premise server install. Confirmit can be implemented in both online or offline locations and integrates with Confirmit Reportal enabling live access to customized reports ensuring that management and relevant stakeholders have critical insight at their fingertips.
