Pamela Anderson Receives the First "Comfort Basket" from Baby Swags

Miscarriage and loss advocates team up with Baby Swags to provide special remembrance gifts to those who have gone through or are going through their own losses alone.

Plainfield, IL (PRWEB) December 7, 2006 -- Miscarriages are happening to more and more women and yet it is still an unspoken topic within the public. In light of Pamela Anderson's recent miscarriage, two work at home moms and advocates for raising public awareness for miscarriage and loss, have teamed up with Baby Swags founder, Phyllis Pometta. By providing products for a unique comfort basket, there are also hopes for bringing much needed awareness to all those that have suffered their own share of losses. It is to let others know that they are not alone and that there are products out there to help aid in the healing process.

Susan Mosquera, advocate and founder of "My Forever Child" states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC), in 2000, over 1 million pregnancies ended in either miscarriage or still birth. "Many women miscarry more than once on their journey to starting or growing a family, yet miscarriages and pregnancy loss is often left unacknowledged publicly, leaving the parents to grieve in silence." Mosquera adds, "With the death of the baby is also the end of the future of that child in their family." She continues, "The feelings of loss and sadness are very real and can have life altering effects."

After her first miscarriage, Pometta was devastated. While going through the miscarriage, she had her friends and family by her side, however once it was over, her family and friends no longer were there in the way that Pometta needed them to be. She was left as Mosquera stated, alone to grieve in silence. "I have had 4 miscarriages and after the first one, the subsequent ones get less acknowledgement and after 10 years, I still mourn for them all as I would any other loss I have experienced." When Pometta saw the remembrance gifts that My Forever Child wanted to provide she wished she knew about them many years ago. "It is a great way to honor those children who have been quickly taken away from their parents."

MyForeverChild.com founder Susan Mosquera along with the author of "Journeys: Stories of Pregnancy After Loss", (pregnancyjourneysafterloss.com), Amy Abbey, both have had either miscarriages or still births. They are advocates for raising public awareness of these devastating losses and they work very hard to bring comfort and hope to those affected by it.
