Simulator Independent VMM Library
TrustIC is releasing an implementation of the SystemVerilog VMM library. This VMM library is working on Mentor Questa, Synopsys VCS and soon on Cadence NCSim simulators.
Bucharest (PRWEB) December 8, 2006 -- TrustIC is announcing the release of its tool-independent implementation of the SystemVerilog VMM methodology. This implementation is fully compatible with the IEEE 1800-2005 SystemVerilog standard and also with the Synopsys VMM library.
TrustIC's set of VMM libraries will enable the adaptation of the VMM methodology with any of the SV tools that are present in the users' flows and run VMM code on these tools.
The verification IP providers will also be able to develop new portable IPs and will enable their already developed IPs to run on multiple simulator platforms.
TrustIC's VMM version has been tested on all the simulators currently supporting the SystemVerilog standard.
TrustIC is also providing a free version of its VMM implementation for evaluation purposes. This version has some limitations that are removed when purchasing the full version.
Quote from TrustIC users:
"Based on strong worldwide demand for the VMM methodology, TrustIC has developed an implementation of the VMM Standard Library, as defined in the popular reference Verification Methodology Manual for SystemVerilog. I successfully executed the VMM testbench examples from our book "A Pragmatic Approach to VMM Adoption" using the TrustIC VMM library. These examples follow the VMM methodology and exercise many key VMM features including the construction of transactions, transactors, channels, atomic/scenario/custom generators, schedulers, broadcasts, notifications, callbacks, and flow control."
